BAPP Induction Day

Today was essentially Day 1 of the start of my BA Professional Practice adventure.
A year ago, I wouldn't have guessed I'd be transitioning into continuing my higher education, but I'm beyond excited to be a part of this program (or programme for my Brittish colleagues). I suppose having grown up in Canada, I should be used to British spellings by now. After today's Skype call, I feel a lot more confident approaching the start of Mod 1, and was happy to have quite a few of my questions answered. It seems like we have a fairly culturally diverse class group spread across the globe, which I'm sure will make for an enjoyable learning experience. Hopefully my California accent doesn't get too lost in translation...DUDE! I'm sure amongst the variety of backgrounds represented, we have a lot to learn from one another. The community aspect (or "water cooler" as Adesola perfectly described it) of the programme is something I'm looking forward to, especially being somewhat of a people person.  It seems as if it will be a perfect combination for my learning style especially: hands on/self study, backed by community and knowledge of other's experience and learning, with the direction and expertise of our advisors. Time to shake off the blogging cobwebs, and prepare to start the next chapter of my education and craft!

    1. Anywhere I go, I assume there will be other "Matt"s, so I started going by Matthew a few years back. At this point, I've now run into a few hundred "Matthew"s, so I had to get more creative this title!
