Module 2 Begins - Back in the Saddle

Just ended the first Skype meeting of Module 2.
A LOT has changed since first beginning the programme in October.
For one, I have a MUCH more established sense of how to conduct my learning through BAPP.
I've also become a student representative of the programme, and look forward to helping incoming students, alongside my own continued learning.
Some of my key takeaways from this Skype session were:

1. Adesola mentioned the importance of organizing your mental, and physical space.
For me especially, the physical space is directly tied to the amount of focus I have.
Messy space often leads to a messy mind.

2. Reading and understanding the handbooks.
In Module 1, I had only downloaded the handbook for the entire programme, and didn't realize there was also individual handbooks for each module. This lead to quite a bit of confusion, and accidental procrastination. I'm glad to know now what I did not at the start: There are more than one handbook, and they are your friend throughout the programme!

3. Find your inquiry early on if possible. Kristy mentioned the importance of this, and I highlighted and circled it so I can keep it a key focus moving forward in the next few weeks.

4. Trust in the process and research around the area you're not sure about. Laura mentioned this.  I find it to be true, and a good goal to have. It's fairly easy to talk about what we've done and the knowledge we're comfortable having retained, but it's also important to stretch our minds into new areas of learning and inquiry.

My hope is that I will not only find inquiry that will inspire me which relates to my work, but that will also benefit me down the line. Time to get back to it!
